Music Weekends and Regular Workshops in the UK

This is a list of organised Music Weekends and music workshops where the entertainment is provided by those attending, they are mainly folk based but will hopefully contain all other types of music. This page also contains Folk/Acoustic sessions in the Cheshire and the North West area.

I have spent many an hour searching the net for a regular workshops/sessions where I could join with other people who play musical instruments and sing, form small bands and perform.

If you run or know of any other Music Weekends, Weeks or regular sessions in the UK please let me know and I will include you on this menu page. Please email Glynne Davies at Glycar@aol.com

As I have said above, the weekends are great but not quite what I was initially looking for. I am male, live in the North West, south of Manchester, play Guitar and Mandolin. Although I can sing it takes me a long time to learn the words and initially I was looking for a workshop where I could join in and form small bands, play my instruments and let others sing, perhaps joining in the singing occasionally. I am as I imagine quite a few guitar/instrument players are, looking to team up with other like minded players to form a small band and play at small venues, even play some of the few songs I have written (Now on CD), so if you know of a small band that need an extra player or want to team up and form a band and you are local to Manchester, Stockport, Macclessfield, please contact me. Glycar@aol.com

Hopefully the new twice monthly Friday night music sessions at Woodford British Legion will meet the above criteria
